Abstract: The significance of ST segment elevation in dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE) remains controversial. In patients with prior Q wave myocardial infarction (MI), it may reflect myocardial ischemia, contractile reserve in the infarct-related area, or dyskinesia of the infarcted areas of myocardium.
