Abstract.[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to kinesiologically analyze of the stand-to-sit motion in the third trimester.[Subjects] Eight pregnant women in their third trimester and 8 non-pregnant women participated in this study.[Methods] Subjects were asked to sit-down on a 400-mm-high seat from the standing position. A 3D motion analysis system and a force plate were used to collect data. Measurements analyzed were (1) the time taken to sit down; (2) the leg joint moment; (3) the antero-posterior and vertical floor reaction forces; and (4) the range of motion of the lower limbs and trunk. Statistical analyses were conducted to compare the pregnant with non-pregnant women using the Mann-Whitney U test.[Results] For pregnant women, the time taken to sit down, the knee extension moment, as well as the posterior and vertical components of the motion were significantly higher. The ranges of motion of the other joints were not significantly different between the pregnant and non-pregnant women. [Conclusion] Pregnant woman have unstable posterior balance when sitting down due to the increase of the posterior floor reaction force. In the third trimester, the sit-down motion requires attention because of the impact of weight gain and the shift in the center of gravity.

StreszczenieKluczowym działaniem w ramach dobrych praktyk w opiece profilaktycznej jest systematyczna kontrola stanu zdrowia pracujących, ocena jego związku przyczynowego z warunkami pracy oraz w efekcie -udzielanie pracownikom i pracodawcom porad w zakresie organizacji pracy, ergonomii, fizjologii i psychologii pracy. Lekarz medycyny pracy powinien przy tym pamiętać, że niektóre czynności wykonywane przez pracowników nie tylko wchodzą w zakres obowiązków zawodowych, ale są wykonywane przez nich również w domu. Taka świadomość jest szczególnie ważna w opiece profilaktycznej nad pracującą ciężarną. Biorąc powyższe pod uwagę, autorzy niniejszej publikacji dokonali przeglądu piśmiennictwa pod kątem uciążliwości i czynników szkodliwych, na które kobiety w ciąży mogą być narażone w trakcie wykonywania pracy zawodowej i w warunkach domowych. Przedstawione wyniki badań wskazują konieczność minimalizowania u ciężarnych czynności wymuszających częste pochylanie się, grożących upadkiem, wymagających dźwigania oraz związanych z nadmiernym stresem. Zwrócono uwagę na możliwość przekraczania łącznie w pracy i w domu obecnie obowiązującego w polskim prawie limitu 4 godzin pracy przy komputerze -głównie ze względu na wiążący się z tym niekorzystny wpływ niskiej aktywności fizycznej i długotrwale utrzymywanej pozycji siedzącej. Ze względu na niekorzystny wpływ pracy powyżej 40 godz. tygodniowo na przebieg ciąży w ocenie ryzyka zawodowego wskazana jest analiza łącznego czasu pracy ciężarnej z uwzględnieniem dodatkowych prac zarobkowych i zajęć domowych. W podsumowaniu autorzy podkreślają, że opieka profilaktyczna nad pracującą ciężarną wymaga edukowania ciężarnych w zakresie sposobu wykonywania obowiązków służbowych, ze zwróceniem uwagi na zakres i częstość czynności domowych analogicznych do zawodowych. A gravidez consiste de um processo fisiológico natural compreendido pela seqüência de adaptações ocorridas no corpo da mulher a partir da fertilização. A preparação do corpo para a gestação envolve ajustes dos mais variados sistemas (MANTLE e POLDEN, 2005) e pode ser considerada um estado de saúde que envolve mudanças fisiológicas iguais ou maiores do que as que acompanham muitos estados patológicos (SANTOS, 1998). As mudanças na mecânica do esqueleto são devido a ação hormonal que aumenta a frouxidão ligamentar (MARNACH et al., 2003) e mudanças biomecânicas (BIRCH et al., 2003) que provocam modificações estruturais na estática e dinâmica do esqueleto.A marcha é uma atividade simples da vida diária e uma das principais habilidades do ser humano. Constitui-se em um dos mais complexos e integrados movimentos realizados pelo ser humano (WINTER, 1995). A marcha está entre os atos motores mais automatizados, e a seqüência de eventos que geram o andar é altamente repetitiva de ciclo após ciclo e também entre diferentes indivíduos. For this, a search was made for references in Portuguese and English, using search engines: PubMed, Sciencedirect, Scopus, and Pubmed Pubmed Central. Original papers published from 1990 to 2009 (july) were considered when the main subject of discussion was the topic of interest. Overall significant changes are observed on the kinetic and kinematic variables of gait and balance from the third trimester of pregnancy during this period the incidence of falls is also larger. There are many factors related to these changes, but the increase in body mass is the most important of these.
