Scabies is a skin disease that is very difficult to get rid of in Islamic boarding schools. Even with the implementation of a fairly strict health protocol during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has not been able to stop its spread. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the implementation of health protocols and scabies cases that occurred at the VIP-Al Huda Junior High School Kebumen during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was an analytic observational study with a case-control research design. The data was collected from December 2021 to February 2022. There were 100 male and female students in grades 7 and 8 who became the study's sample, consisting of 50 students in the case group and 50 students in the control group. Chi-square was used to analyze the data. The results reported that there is a relationship between adherence to the implementation of health protocols (OR 4.750; p 0.001) and scabies cases at the VIP Al-Huda Junior High School Kebumen during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was concluded that compliance with the implementation of health protocols related to scabies cases that occurred at the VIP Al-Huda Junior High School Kebumen during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The prevalence of scabies in children is still high in Indonesia, especially in children who live in dormitories such as Islamic boarding schools. Rise of modern boarding school that is claimed to be better than conventional boarding school makes researchers moved to find out whether there are differences in the occurrence of scabies in conventional boarding school and modern boarding school. This study is a descriptive observational study. The sample used was 95 respondents in each boarding schools that obtained by a simple random sampling technique. Research data were collected in the form of questionnaires and examination of the diagnosis of scabies using a dermoscope. The data was analyzed using data tabulation. From 190 respondents, most of the samples were in the age range of 14-16 years (46.8%). Scabies occurred in conventional boarding school were 35.3% (46 respondents), and 9.8% (5 respondents) occurred in modern boarding school. It can be concluded that the occurrence of scabies in modern boarding school is less than in conventional boarding school.

Scabies is a contagious skin infection caused by infestation and sensitization of female mites Sarcoptes scabiei varieta hominis and its products. Scabies is also known as The Itch, Sky-Bees, Scabies, and Itchy Agogo. The prevalence of scabies in developing countries, including Indonesia is 4.6% -12.95% and the third of the 12 most common skin diseases that occur in the community. The most dominant factor is knowledge and behavior factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and the clean behavior and healthy lifestyle on the incidence of scabies in students. The research method was observational analytic with cross sectional observation. A sample of 34 people was taken by simple random technique. Data is taken through physical examination and using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Chi Square Test statistic test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge with the incidence of scabies (p=0,007) and there was a significant relationship between the level of clean and healthy living behavior with the incidence of scabies (p=0,015). The results of research, a very important factor related to scabies is lack of knowledge and poor personal hygiene problems.
