Failure Mechanisms of the Lotus Pond Landslide: A Reactivated Landslide from Large-Scale Cataclinal Slope Failure in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of China

Abstract: The Lotus Pond landslide developed in a large-scale cataclinal slope on the right bank of Yangtze River. It has been reactivated by impounding of the Three Gorges Reservoir. Based on geological survey and experimental tests, deformation characteristics and failure mechanism have been ascertained.
