To address the problem of short service life of the blast furnace hot blast valve plate due to uneven heating, a finite element simulation model of the valve plate is established by Solidworks, and the steady-state flow field analysis of the valve plate is completed by using STAR-CCM+. On this basis, the orthogonal experimental design was used to research the influence of inner ring thickness, inner ring width, outer ring thickness and outer ring width on the uniformity of cooling water velocity inside the valve plate. The results show that the valve plate inner ring thickness, outer ring thickness and outer ring width have significant influence on the uniformity of cooling water velocity inside the valve plate; the degree of influence is in descending order of inner ring thickness, outer ring width and outer ring thickness. The uniformity decreases with the decrease of inner ring thickness and inner ring width, and increases with the decrease of outer ring thickness and outer ring width. The results of the study have important reference value for the improvement of the structural parameters of the hot blast valve plate.
