Fahr syndrome with psychiatric manifestations: A case report

Abstract: Fahr syndrome is a rare neurodegenerative disorder characterized by symmetrical, bilateral calcification of the basal ganglia, nucleus gyrus and cerebral cortex. Although it is not known exactly how these calcifications occur, it is stated that they may be related to infection, metabolic and genetic disorders.
