Abstract: There is a growing need to better understand increasing rates associated with Neisseria gonorrhoeae antimicrobial resistance and infection. The enhanced resolution of whole genome sequencing (WGS) not only allows the confirmation of resistance markers and those associated with epidemiological typing, but allows further exploration of unknown genomic differences.
