Individual factors such as age (Beaulieu et al , 2020; Porter et al , 2022), gender (Beaulieu et al , 2020; Scully et al , 2017), ethnicity (Wattelez et al , 2019), emotional status (Wang et al , 2022), behaviours (Porter et al , 2022), sleep (Scully et al , 2017; Watts et al , 2018), lifestyle (Phulkerd et al , 2022), fried food (Watts et al , 2018; Mathias et al , 2013), income and socio-economic status (SES; Purohit et al , 2022; Scully et al , 2017), food environmental including home (Griecci, 2018) family and peers (Watts et al , 2018), food culture (Wang et al , 2022), advertisement (Wang et al , 2022), price of the drink (Gracner et al , 2022) and availability of drinks (Schneider et al , 2021) etc., are known to be associated with consumption of SSBs. These evidences are reported primarily from high income countries where SSBs are regulated by policies and taxation.…”
