Factors influencing proton relaxation in the dideuteriomethyl group

Abstract: Reduction of geminal proton relaxation within methyl groups is made possible by use of the dideuteriomethyl group (-CH DJ, so that residual dipolar relaxation can reflect the steric environment of the methyl group.
