In an attempt to prevent and control the outbreak of COVID-19, education systems worldwide have comprehensively implemented online courses to fulfill the educational goal of the suspension of classes without suspending school. Numerous online courses have been developed under these circumstances. From the perspective of sustainable development goals, these online courses should be continued. However, as the epidemic gradually eases, it is questionable whether or not students will still willingly participate in these courses. The method of teaching is a critical issue for schools to decide. Compared with other related educational research, the research on the vocational education system is still limited. To expand the understanding of this topic, this study adopted snowball sampling and invited students from Chinese vocational colleges to fill in a questionnaire to help understand the perceptions that affect students’ expectations, attitudes, perceived effects, and satisfaction and the persistence of online learning. A total of 819 valid questionnaires were retrieved, with an effective questionnaire response rate of 81.9%. Meanwhile, under the framework of Expectation Confirmation Theory (ECT) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study extended the theoretical model and proposed a sustainable model. The results of this study showed the following: 1. Expectancy belief and online learning attitudes had a positive impact on perceived ease of use and usefulness; 2. Perceived ease of use had a negative impact on practical class satisfaction but a positive impact on theoretical class satisfaction and perceived usefulness; 3. Perceived usefulness had a negative impact on practical course satisfaction but a positive impact on theoretical course satisfaction; and 4. Both types of course satisfaction had a positive impact on continuous use intentions for learning.

<p>Online learning is extremely common during the Covid-19 pandemic. That sudden alteration, from offline to online learning affect the learning process including the perception of students and teachers using online learning platform. The aims of this study are to determine the students’ perceptions of class XI MIA on online biology learning by using Madrasah E-Learning at MAN Penajam Paser Utara. The data was collected by conducting the observations, interviews and questionnaires. The questionnaire was in Likert scale form that has been valid and reliable (r<sub>alpha</sub>= 0, 836) with a very strong category. The indicators that were studied include the indicators of student activity, indicators of student perceptions of Madrasah E-Learning and the indicators of factors that affect learning in network (online). Descriptive statistical techniques were the data analysis technique that was used in the form of descriptive, frequency distribution and percentage. The results showed that the activity based on the attendance and collection of student assignments during online biology learning was in the good category. Students' perceptions of Madrasah E-Learning are in very positive category with 63.89%. However, the use of Madrasah E-Learning is still not effective due to network constraints and the lack of teacher skills and knowledge regarding the use of Madrasah E-Learning features. The factors that influence learning in the network include learning support facilities such as cellphones and laptops, network factors and internet quotas, motivational factors, learning interest factors, family factors, home atmosphere factors, environmental factors, and economic factors</p>

Emotion Regulation and Psychological Capital of Chinese University Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Serial Mediation Effect of Learning Satisfaction and Learning Engagement

The mediating mechanism between the emotion regulation and psychological capital of university students is currently unclear. This study analyzed the serial mediation of learning satisfaction and learning engagement on the relationship between the emotion regulation and psychological capital of university students during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. A total of 328 undergraduates and postgraduates from universities in different regions of China were surveyed through an online questionnaire. The tools used in the study were the emotion regulation questionnaire, university student learning satisfaction questionnaire, learning engagement questionnaire, and psychological capital questionnaire. The analysis revealed both direct and indirect mediation effects. It was found that emotion regulation can positively predict psychological capital. Further, learning satisfaction and learning engagement can act as mediating variables between emotion regulation and psychological capital, respectively. Learning satisfaction and learning engagement can also have a serial mediation effect between emotion regulation and psychological capital. The results show that learning support should be strengthened to improve the learning satisfaction and learning engagement of students and, consequently, enhance their psychological capital.
