The sustainability of international transport remains a critical topic of concern in both theory and practice. Ideally, scientific literature should align with practical needs, but such concurrence is not always present. This disparity is also evident in the specific issue of consignment delivery, which is currently of a great practical importance but lacks sufficient coverage in scientific literature. This paper aims to analyse current trends in maritime transport and their relevance to achieving global sustainability in international transportation. Additionally, it seeks to compare these findings with the practical needs and requirements of the industry, in order to provide constructive recommendations for further research. To accomplish this objective, a bibliometric analysis was conducted using scientific databases, including Web of Science and/or SCOPUS.

Mobility is the engine of our society in the third millennium. Rapid technical development makes it possible to increase cognitive ability in various fields; mobility is one of the most affected. Mobility has become a multidimensional concept in our interpretation; in addition to transportation, it also appears in the digital space, among other dimensions. The 21st century has brought unprecedented challenges, such as the covid-19 virus and the Russian war in Ukraine. These highlight bottlenecks in mobility systems and prompted us to explore the concept of cognitive mobility. This paper intends to refine the CogMob approach, which co-manages human and machine capabilities in mobility. New achievements within CogMob's domain match the new challenges of war and viruses. This article aims to outline the field of cognitive mobility. It presents CogMob's definition and examples that clarify the combinations of cognitive levels of different mobilities.

Logistics and efficient transportation are crucial for the European Union economy. For economies to thrive and remain competitive, logistics and transportation networks must operate in an organized, economical and ecological manner. They facilitate the movement of goods within and outside the EU, giving businesses access to bigger markets and a wider range of consumer items. As a result, there were more prospects for employment and greater success in trade and the economy. An outline of the fundamental trends in the European logistics industry is given in this study. We anticipate the current study will add to our knowledge of the EU logistics industry.
