Factor Analysis Model Based on the Theory of the TOPSIS in the Application Research

Abstract: In view of the existing literature panel data factor analysis model in practical application of the deficiency, this paper established the model of factor analysis based on TOPSIS method, which is applied to the analysis of the panel data factor in practice. Compared with the generalized dynamic factor analysis model, the model does not need to satisfy the 4 assumptions of the generalized dynamic factor analysis model at the same time. The model is calculated with regard to every year’s cross section data fact… Show more

“…The basic idea is to rank the alternative samples into optimal and inferior solutions ( 46 ). To improve the factor analysis method using the TOPSIS method, the best value and the worst value of the factor scores obtained from factor analysis can be used as the optimal and worst solution, and the distance between each sample and the optimal and worst solution is calculated, and then the relative closeness of the calculated samples to the optimal solution is computed, and finally the evaluation results of each sample are obtained ( 46 , 47 ). The specific steps are illustrated as follows.…”

“…Step 5: Calculating the Objective Weight of the Indicator by Applying FA. e FA is to reduce the variables with complicated relations into a few comprehensive factors by studying the dependence relation inside the correlation matrix and adopting the idea of dimensionality reduction [50]. In this study, the collected data were processed by FA to obtain the objective weight of each indicator.…”

“…Instead, the results of factor analysis should be comprehensively evaluated by the TOPSIS method. In this way, the issue of factor analysis being unable sum up the panel data to reflect the comprehensive level of a region's TCM medical service system can be solved (35).…”
