“…Whereas the prevalence and severity of mental illness is increased in the United States (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 2018) and appears to impact the helping professions-namely speech-language pathology (Beck & Verticchio, 2014;Jennings, 2008;Lloyd, King, & Chenoweth, 2002;Rees & Cooper, 1992;Sowa, May, & Niles, 1994), it is necessary that training programs consider ways to assist students in ameliorating anxiety.
