Facilitating big-data management in modern business and organizations using cloud computing: a comprehensive study

Abstract: Modern digital life has produced big data in modern businesses and organizations. To derive information for decision-making from these enormous data sets, a lot of work is required at several levels. The storage, transmission, processing, mining, and serving of big data create problems for digital domains. Despite several efforts to implement big data in businesses, basic issues with big data remain (particularly big-data management (BDM)). Cloud computing, for example, provides companies with well-suited, cos… Show more

“…Conventional data storing and handling strategies are not sufficient when working with big data, as these often impose additional monetary and computational costs. Some solutions are available to tackle these issues, such as cloud computing and platforms that allow end users to access shared resources over the internet [ 102 ]; Data Lakes, consisting of centralized repositories that allow for data storage and analysis [ 103 ]; and Data Mesh, a platform architecture that distributes data among several nodes [ 104 ]. Unfortunately, these solutions are not always easily accessible.…”

“…Several of the articles in this issue examined cloud computing-based innovative technologies. For example, Qi, Sun, and Hosseini (2022) studied how to facilitate big-data management in modern businesses and organizations using cloud computing. Ardebili et al, (2022) analyzed and studied employee attendance management systems based on cloud computing.…”
