“…Rapid decomposition of Rh6G dye, promoted by ROS species, has been also observed by adding an H 2 O 2 solution to the reaction medium. Finally, it would be possible to use the nanocomposites as a strongly effective photocatalyst for decomposing organic pollutants [133].…”

“…Constructing from imidazolate linkers and metal ions, ZIFs are considered as a rising star in different photocatalytic applications. Indeed, it is demonstrated that the inherent and specific properties of ZIFs can significantly boost the photocatalytic performance of CO 2 reduction. For example, Meng et al studied the photoreduction of CO 2 using ZIF-67 coupled with graphitic carbon nitride (g-C 3 N 4 ) under solar-light irradiation and obtained ∼50 μmol h –1 of ethanol with high stability and selectivity. Wu et al studied the separation of CO 2 using ZIF-67 (Co as metal ions) embedded with polymers and obtained higher selectivity toward CO 2 separation compared with ZIF-8 (Zn metal ions).…”

“…Recently, ZIF‐8 doped with various metals are used as multi‐metallic motifs which are explored for various applications, including gas storage, catalysis and membrane to list a few . Most intriguing, we found the Cu doped on ZIF matrix and its application in organic synthesis . Based on these observations, we turned our attention to explore and expand the application of Cu encapsulated ZIF‐8 as a heterogeneous catalyst for copper catalyzed reactions, thus, contributing to develop an efficient new protocols for the synthesis of organic scaffolds.…”

“…Due to their relevance in the fields of medicinal chemistry and natural products synthesis, new methods using recyclable catalyst on various matrices are well reported in the literature to establish the economical viability of the catalytic processes . With increase in reports of ZIF catalyzed reactions, our recent efforts in developing catalytic methods using heterogenous catalysts, we here present a report of catalytic application of Cu impregnated ZIF‐8 as a catalyst for KA 2 coupling under solvent free conditions. To best of our knowledge, this is the first report of Cu doped ZIF‐8 catalyzed KA 2 coupling.…”
