Abstract:A facile and green synthesis approach of C30-AuNPs is developed for the effective catalytic reduction of nitrophenols and azo dyes, and the in-depth mechanism investigation is described by thermodynamic and kinetic analysis.
“…20 Currently, 4-AP is produced by the reduction of catalytic hydrogenation of 4-NP in the presence of noble metals catalysts such as Pd, Pt, Au, Ag, and so forth. 21–25 The main problem with these metal catalysts is the use of high cost and scarcity of noble metals. Therefore, developing an environmentally friendly and cost-effective catalyst for producing 4-AP is a significant challenge in the field of catalysis research.…”
The BiOX (X = Cl, Br, and I) catalysts demonstrate significant catalytic activity for 4-nitrophenol reduction due to in situ formation of metal-semiconductor (Bi0–BiOX) nanocomposites in the presence of NaBH4.
