Facile synthesis, antimicrobial, and anti‐inflammatory activities of novel isoxazolyl imidazo[1,2‐b]isoxazoles

Abstract: A copper iodide promoted cyclization for the synthesis of isoxazolyl imidazo[1,2‐b]isoxazoles 3 in a one‐pot procedure has been investigated by interaction of 3‐aminoisoxazole 1 with nitrostyrylisoxazoles 2 under aerial oxidation condition. The newly synthesized compounds 3a–l were screened for their in vitro antimicrobial and anti‐inflammatory activities.
