“…The preparation of C-TM-CN was confirmed to be complete based on XPS analyses. The presence of peaks at 810 cm −1 can be attributed to the 3-s-Triazine unit characteristic peak of g-C3N4 [18,43]. The peaks in the range 1135-1629 cm −1 were ascribed to the stretching vibrations of heterocycles (C-N/C=N).…”

“…C-TM-CN nanofiber composite membranes exhibit a broader absorption band at 1200-1800 cm −1 , which corresponds to the C(sp 3 )-N and C(sp 2 )=N in the CN heterocycle of g-C 3 N 4 , but the broader absorption band shifts to the left compared to the CN heterocycle of g-C 3 N 4 . “…The production of H 2 O 2 can occur through either an indirect two-step one-electron reduction process (O 2 → O 2 •− → H 2 O 2 ) or a direct one-step two-electron reduction pathway (O 2 → H 2 O 2 ). , Recent studies have shown that a photocatalytic system can efficiently produce H 2 O 2 through the two-electron reduction of O 2 . For instance, O 2 is reduced by electrons photogenerated by g-C 3 N 4 or graphene oxide (GO), formation of the intermediate 1,4-endoperoxide portion in the benzene-like ring structure of g-C 3 N 4 or GO, followed by release to form H 2 O 2 , which is consistent with two-electron reduction of O 2 and results in high H 2 O 2 selectivity. However, Shiraishi et al concluded that O 2 underwent one-electron reduction on TiO 2 , resulting in very low selectivity for H 2 O 2 generation . Therefore, the reaction pathways may be more complex than anticipated.…”
