Thio compounds Thio compounds Q 0590Facile One-Pot Synthesis of S-Alkyl Thiocarbamates. -Title compounds (IV), (VI), and (VIII) are prepared by a novel two-step method involving the nucleophilic substitution of trichloroacetyl chloride with thiols (II) to give the corresponding thioesters which are applied without purification in the second step, the displacement of trichloromethyl by an amino group.
