“…Facial psoriasis may be classified into three subtypes: hairline psoriasis or peripherofacial, Sebopsoriasis or centrofacial, and true facial psoriasis or mixed subtype which is the commonest. 6,7 Our case had a mixed subtype with predominant involvement of most of the face albeit in a peculiar distribution which looked like malar rash of systemic lupus erythematosus, however, the same was ruled out following histopathology of the lesion and negative ANA. Vitamin-D analogue like tacalcitol has been used successfully in facial Sebopsoriasis co-existing with scalp involvement.8 Our patient failed a trial of tacalcitol which was given for a period of 3 months in the preceding year.…”
