“…The diameters of the ring structures are on the order of several micrometers, and their number density on the KCl surfaces is ∼1 cm −2 . It is well‐established that the BP1T needles are grown in the vapor‐phase growth method . Yet, in the present work we have found out for the first time that the well‐defined microings are formed on the KCl surfaces.…”

“…These PL spectra show many sharp peaks ranging from 1.8 to 2.9 eV superposed on a continuous PL band. PL spectra that include such sharp peak series have been observed even for the BP1T needles . The needles act as FP cavities because of their well‐defined end facets, and the peak series have been attributed to the FP modes.…”

“…The patterning OSSC arrays in defined positions and orientations and the realization of large‐size OSSCs are important for advancing their applications in integrated circuits. An efficient strategy for achieving patterned OSSCs under PVT conditions involves the incorporation of appropriate substrates with prepatterned microstructures/rough surfaces or inorganic salts with periodic structures to provide the controllable nucleation of vapor‐grown crystals through adjustment of the surface energy and epitaxial growth. Figure a‐ shows an example of oriented BP1T single‐crystal microwires grown on a KCl substrate, which exhibits excellent waveguide properties .…”

Figure a‐ shows an example of oriented BP1T single‐crystal microwires grown on a KCl substrate, which exhibits excellent waveguide properties . Although different OSSC patterns have been achieved via the modified PVT method, the alignment/positioning of OSSCs with a high degree of orientation over large areas through this strategy remains an open question.…”
