“…Following decades of development, there have been many reports on the preparation of a superhydrophobic coating applied to different materials surfaces, such as wood [ 8 ], clothes [ 9 , 10 ], metal [ 11 , 12 , 13 ], filter paper [ 14 ], glass [ 15 ], and plastic [ 16 ]. Different preparation methods have also been employed, such as sol-gel [ 17 ], immersion [ 18 ], electrochemical deposition [ 19 ], spraying [ 20 , 21 ], etching [ 22 , 23 ], chemical vapor deposition (CVD) [ 24 ], and electrospinning [ 25 ]. However, superhydrophobic coatings still suffer from much obsession.…”

“…[10][11][12] Manoudis et al [13] have found that the static WCA of the coating increases rapidly with concentration of hydrophilic silica NPs and reached maximum value of 154°while spraying suspension of hydrophilic silica NPs and PMMA on glass substrate. Pan et al [14] have sprayed a mixture of PMMA and silica NPs on steel surface and achieved WCA Ě´ 150°and sliding angle Ě´ 2°. Kavale et al [15] have obtained optically transparent, superhydrophobic uniform coatings by simple dip coating method using PMMA in the silica coatings, which enhanced the hydrophobicity and durability of the coatings.…”

“…Superhydrophobic surfaces have exhibited many excellent properties, including corrosion resistance, self‐cleaning, and high mechanical strength . Thus, exceptional characteristics have made them superb choices for a variety of applications such as antifouling, self‐cleaning, anti‐icing, antifogging, antibacterial adhesion, oil‐water separation, and anticorrosion …”
