Fabrication of silane-modified magnetic nano sorbent for enhanced ultrasonic wave driven removal of methylene blue from aqueous media: Isotherms, kinetics, and thermodynamic mechanistic studies

Abstract: In this study we report, a simple and economic one-pot synthesis of magnetite (Fe 3 O 4) nanostructure and their modification with tetraethyl orthosilicate by co-precipitation method. The synthesized (Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2) nano sorbent was applied for enhanced adsorptive removal of methylene blue by ultrasonic wave driven batch experiments.
