Fabrication of PVA/Ag Nanocomposite Hydrogels using Sol Gel Technique: Swelling and Removal of Chromium Ion Studies

Abstract: The PVA/Ag nanocomposite hydrogel with 3D network has been fabricated via sol-gel method. The fabricated nanocomposites were well characterized by FT-IR, SEM, TEM and XRD. The swelling equilibrium has also been observed with various pH medium. Parallel adsorption studies have also been carried out with a different time, pH and dosage of adsorbent.
