Fabrication of oxygen doped g‐C3N4 through the formation of a supramolecular precursor for the enhanced photocatalytic degradation of sulfonamides

Abstract: BACKGROUND Graphitic carbon nitrate (g‐C3N4) is considered a promising metal‐free photocatalyst. However, the applications of pristine g‐C3N4 are subject to the high recombination of electron‐hole pairs and low solar utilization. This study aimed to develop a unique and effective method to synthesize oxygen‐doped g‐C3N4 with enhanced photocatalytic activity for pollutant treatment.
