Fabrication of Nitrogen-Doped Reduced Graphene Oxide Modified Screen Printed Carbon Electrode (N-rGO/SPCE) as Hydrogen Peroxide Sensor

Abstract: In recent years, the electrochemical sensing approach has attracted electrochemists because of its excellent detection process, simplicity, high sensitivity, cost-effectiveness, and high selectivity. In this study, we prepared nitrogen doped reduced graphene oxide (N-rGO) and characterized it using various advanced techniques such as XRD, SEM, EDX, Raman, and XPS. Furthermore, we modified the active surface of a screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE) via the drop-casting of N-rGO. This modified electrode (N-rG… Show more

“…The addition of nitrogen increases the defect band when compared to rGO materials. 37,38 XPS allows the evaluation of the chemical composition of the printed films, both quantitatively and qualitatively (Figure 2b−d). The obtained spectra for the carbon region can be deconvoluted into different peaks, each one correlated with specific chemical bonds.…”

“…The limit of detection (LOD) and sensitivity of fabricated Fe 3 O 4 /Gr/CC sensors can be estimated using the previous method reported [ 74 , 75 ]. For this, we used Equations (1) and (2), which were mentioned below, to find out the LOD and sensitivity of the Fe 3 O 4 /Gr/CC for the sensing of H 2 O 2 : Limit of detection (LOD) = 3.3 (σ/S) Sensitivity = Slope/area of the working electrode where σ = standard error, and S = slope.…”
