“…The microphotographs and values of the elemental analyses of tested mulberry lattices were recorded using a scanning electron microscope (JEOL, JSM 6490 LV, Japan) built with an equipped energy-dispersive X-ray analyzer (EDX)(EDS 133, EV Dry Detector (INCA x-act) of the OXFORD instruments, U.K.). For this procedure, selected lattices were coated on aluminum stubs, and the instrument was operated at the voltage of 15 kV followed by examining them under 1000 and 3500× magnifications and recording the elemental trends …”

“…Much work has not been done on tropical Tasar silkworm (Antherea mylitta) pupae when compared to mulberry, eri, and muga pupae. In our preliminary study, we reported that tasar pupal oil is a rich source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) (37%), 19 which is an omega-3 essential fatty acid; therefore, It may prove to be a more beneficial substitute for edible oil. For this reason, in the current effort, we have extracted and characterised tasar pupae oil for commercial and therapeutic uses.…”

“…However, both mulberry and non-mulberry silkworm pupal oils have been identified as new sources of ALA in recent days 4,5,6 . Among the silkworm pupal oils, Antherea mylitta (Tasar silkworm) (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) pupal oil has emerged as a rich source of ALA, as it revealed 37% of ALA in it 7 .…”
