Fabrication of hierarchically organized nanocomposites of Ba/alginate/carboxymethylcellulose/graphene oxide/Au nanoparticles and their catalytic efficiency in o-nitroaniline reduction

Abstract: Composite gels of Ba/Alginate(Alg)/Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) were prepared by dissipative convective phenomenon. Graphene oxide (GO) and Au nanoparticle (Au-NPs) were successfully encapsulated into polysaccharide matrix. The resulting composite gels were characterized by Fourier Transform Infra-red spectrometry (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, Powder X-Ray diffractometer (PXRD) technique, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Rheological and Mechanical behaviors of compo… Show more

“…The bands at 1730 and 1623 cm −1 are ascribed to the presence of ν (C=O) and ν (C=C) groups of graphene moiety, respectively. The bands at 1374 and 1225 cm −1 confirms the presence of ν (C‐OH) and ν (C−O‐C) groups, respectively . Two bands at 3390 and 1580 cm −1 in the FT‐IR spectra of GO@AF can be attributed to the stretching and bending mode ν (N−H) of amino group .…”

“…Based on previous experimental results performed by our team; this type of coupling is more selective in a polar solvent. [ 45 ] The achieved results using a protic polar solvent such as DMF and DMSO in the presence of KOAc are very encouraging. Thus, the expected product was isolated with yields ranging between 78% and 67% (Table 1, entries 1 and 5) higher than using Na 2 CO 3 .…”

“…4a. The principle of the measurement was to impose a force on the material by compression, and then to measure the corresponding force and the resulting deformation37. The Ca-alginate was soft, and it showed a strain hardening at a deformation value greater than 100 μm.…”
