Abstract: These findings suggest that placement of endoscopic brow lift incisions and subsequent fixation points may be best defined along the deep temporal fusion line.

“…Sclafani and Jung11 showed that the desired brow peak was located on the lateral canthus, lateral limbus or middle of lateral canthus, and lateral limbus based on the age and race of subjects. Pham et al12 described deep temporal fusion line as a new predictor of ideal brow peak in patients undergoing endoscopic brow lift procedures as the lateral limbus and medial two-thirds and lateral one-third junction may be a good indicator of brow peak in females, but it is not as equally useful as the deep temporal fusion line in the prediction of brow peak position in males and females. Our subjects preferred lateral canthus and places between lateral limbus and lateral canthus as the desired position for brow peak.…”

“…However, the morphology of the eyebrow changes by the effect of age, young children have rounded eyebrows that lack a peak region, while young adults have an eyebrow peak and its position varies. In early middle adulthood, the aging process results in brow ptosis with the apex altered into a flattened deflation brow, which may, in turn, impart negative emotions and an unnatural appearance of the face 1 . Since the periorbital region is the first sign of aging, this region is more subjected to various rejuvenation procedures including forehead lifting, brow lifts, blepharoplasty, and facial fillers 2 .…”

“…The shape of the eyebrow is more important than its height; the medial and lateral ends should lie at approximately the same height. 4 Resection of the sagging part of the eyebrow modifies the shape of the eyebrow itself, correcting it with an aspect nearly the same as surgical lifting of the lateral third. Therefore, additional procedures such as browpexy and browlifting (which increase time and cost and may not produce good results) may be avoided.…”
