“…Other authors have proposed an "eyeball" estimation of the nine measures [11]. Therefore, while the POP-Q system is advancing our understanding of the etiology and treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, it does not appear to be a user-friendly system that can be advocated for worldwide clinical use.…”

“…When a POP‐Q stage 0 or I was indicative of anatomic success, the success rate ranged from 39.7% to 75% for anterior colporrhaphy and 81% to 95% for mesh repair, and superior outcomes of the mesh repair were observed during the 1‐year follow‐up 17‐21 . Although the POP‐Q system has proved useful for assessing the anatomic success of POP surgery, it is not widely used in clinical practice; approximately 40% of pelvic floor surgeons use it in clinical practice 22,23 . The reasons for this low utilization include the perception that the POP‐Q system is complex and confusing, difficult to learn, and too time‐consuming 23 .…”

“…(halfway to hymen) grade 2 -within 2 cm of the introitus/hymen, grade 3 -passing the introitus/hymen, grade 4 -maximum descent /or non-reducible prolapse passing the introitus [1]. Reports suggest that the estimations with either method coincide [16]. Since all our subjects were unaware of prolapse, none was classified as grade 4.…”
