“…5d-e). Similar results reported by the same group also indicate that rice husks-derived graphene nanosheets prepared at a higher temperature (700 °C) with a relatively higher crystallinity exhibit better HER activities [99]. However, not all reports follow this synthesis temperature-HER 1 3…”

“…In addition to F 2g , the AC-CeO 2 nanocomposites display two additional Raman bands at 1345 and 1599 cm −1 , which are denoted by D and G bands, respectively. The G band originates the E 2g vibration mode of the sp 2 -hybridized carbon, and the D band sprouts from the defective and disordered features of graphite structures [66] , [67] , [68] , [69] , [70] . Such a simultaneous observation of F 2g and D/G depicts an effective hybridization of CeO 2 and AC in a nanocomposite system.…”

“…Sekar et al prepared rice-husk-derived corrugated graphene (RH–CG) nanosheets via the KOH activation method with different temperatures (600–700 °C) using the biomass source of red rice husks, with the schematic illustration of the synthetic processes shown in Figure a. The HER performance of RH–CG-700 is far superior to that of RH–CG-600, with a small overpotential of 9 mV at 10 mA cm –2 and a small Tafel slope of 31 mV dec –1 (Figure b) . The excellent performance of RH–CG-700 can be attributed to the interconnect morphology and high porosity as well as the high degree of graphitization in the mesoporous structure.…”
