Extraction optimization and quality evaluation of humic acids from lignite using the cell-free filtrate of Penicillium ortum MJ51

Abstract: Bio-solubilization of lignite is a promising technology to transform coal into humic acids (HAs) which are broadly used in agriculture.

“…All the corresponding data are reported in Table 4 . The F-value of 80.22 was much higher than the standard F-value (F 0.05 = 4.25) [ 18 ], implying a significant level of models and a small chance of noise impacts on their accuracy. P -value below 0.05 indicates that the factor had a significant effect on the response values [ 21 ], and the P -value decreased as the variable’s importance increases.…”

“…HS concentration is shown as a color gradient from red to blue and from high to low. The shape of the contour plot of the response surface can directly reflect the influence of multiple factors on the response value, where the ellipse indicates strong interaction, and the circle is opposite [ 18 ]. The response surface function’s shape was expressed by a 3D surface plot.…”

“…On the other hand, Cunninghamella bertholletiae (67.03 mg/L), Simplicillium subtropicum (45.95 mg/L), Penicillium daleae (42.70 mg/L), and Trichoderma koningiopsis (42.43 mg/L) produced high amounts of fulvic acid, indicating the occurrence of depolymerization. Penicillium ortum MJ51 was isolated by Li et al from lignite, and they used its cell-free filtrates to extract HA from lignite [ 186 ].…”
