Abstract: SUMMARYExtraction of passion fruit seed oil using supercritical CO 2 : a study of mass transfer and rheological property by Bayesian inferenceThe extraction of oil from passion fruit seeds using supercritical CO 2 was studied. Experimental data were obtained for extraction conducted at 15, 20 and 25 MPa; at temperatures of 40 and 50 °C with CO 2 flow rates of 1.5 and 3.0 mL min -1 . “…Tamarillo seed oil obtained with SC‐CO2 presented a saturated fatty acid content of 11.80, 16.18% monounsaturated fatty acid content, and 72.05% polyunsaturated fatty acid content, which is similar to those reported in other studies . The high polyunsaturated content is due principally to its linoleic content, as in passion fruit seed oil (72.7%) and grape seed oil (70–78%) .
