Abstract:Extraction of microamounts of niobium (V) by tri-n-butyl phosphate from hydrochloric and nitric acid media in the presence of various multidentate ligands which function as masking agents was studied with respect to the amounts of the ligand and to the hydrogen ion concentration. Separation of microamounts of niobium from hexavalent uranium has also been investigated.
