“…By using quinoline as an extraction solvent at 300°C the yield of 50 % was obtained from bituminous coals,3 and the authors concluded that the extract obtained is indigenous in the coal, not the products from some solubilization reactions, though at 300°C the breaking of weak covalent bonds in coal is possible to occur. Recently lino et al 4 have found that I: I (volume ratio) carbon disulfide -N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone mixed solvent gives more than 50 wt% of extraction yields for several bituminous coals at room temperature. Solvent fractionation of the extracts obtained gave a heavier component than preasphaltenes, i.e., pyridine insoluble/the mixed solvent soluble fraction.…”

“…A finales de la década de los 80 Iino y colaboradores 12 reportaron altos porcentajes de extracción de carbón mediante el uso de la Nmetilpirrolidona -NMP-. Estos autores descri-bieron la extracción de un conjunto de carbones con una mezcla 1:1 de NMP-CS2 a temperatura ambiente.…”

“…ASIL was not completely soluble in aliphatic solvents such as cyclohexane and decalin or in the highly polar solvent N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP), although the latter is a good solvent for heavy oils and coals 14) . On the other hand, ASIL was soluble in tetrahydrofuran, chloroform and almost all aromatic solvents.…”
