Abstract: In contrast to optical colonoscopy, computed tomography colonography (CTC) has the ability to reveal pathology outside of the colon. While identification of colorectal lesions at CTC requires only limited radiation dose, the detection of abnormalities in extracolonic soft tissue requires more radiation.
