A novel method for packet forwarding in MANETs has been proposed in this paper. A node in the network acts as both host and router. Energy utilization of the node increases as all nodes in MANET operate as source, destination, and router to forward packets to the next hop ultimately to reach destination. Routers execute a variety of functions from simple packet classification for forwarding to complex payload revision. As the number of tasks and complexity increases, processing time required also increases resulting in significant processing delay in routers. The proposed work optimizes packet header at transport and network layer by calculating Unique Identifier using pairing function for the fields which do not change for a source–destination pair. This technique optimizes the processing cost of each packet header thereby conserving energy and reducing delay. It also simplifies the task of system administration. This paper elucidates an extension to basic AODV protocol, allowing routing of most packets without an explicit header, reducing the overhead of the protocol while still conserving its basic properties. The proposed method improves the network performance significantly compared to AODV, MTPR, and S-AODV protocol.

<p>The most challenging concern in MANET is video streaming and it essentially exaggerated by these important factors such as fading, node mobility, interference, topology on change in dynamic, collusion, shadowing in multi-path etc. One of the very attractive and considered for many applications is Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET).Routing Protocol is most significant element which is considered as the MANET. Though, the quite demanding task is video streaming over MANET. This paper have been investigated the analysis of routing protocols over MANET for video streaming. The comparison of the three routing protocols are Secure Dynamic Source Routing (SDSR), Secure Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector (SAODV) and secured Right angled and Ant search routing Protocol (SRAAA) on the basis of various performance metrics such as Throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Delay, Packet Delivery Fraction (PDF), Energy Consumption, Link Failure and Packet Drop has been obtainable in this paper for supporting video streaming applications. Based on the compared stimulated results concluded that SRAAA routing protocol is comparatively better in performance of all metrics than the SAODV and SDSR routing protocols.</p>

Study towards Wireless Adhoc Network dates two decades back with various researchers evolving up with new solutions towards addressing its problems. Irrespective of various other problems, the issues related to the secure routing is yet unsolved owing to massively increasing fatal strategies of the adversary. Review of existing literature shows that the existing secure routing scheme can only govern over the stated attacks reducing the applicability in case of dynamic attacks. Therefore, this manuscript introduces a novel probabilistic model which offers the capability to wireless nodes to identify the malicious behavior and react accordingly. Different from existing intrusion prevention system, the proposed system allows the malicious node to participate in the data forwarding process and exhaust its resources with no chance of launching an attack. The simulated outcome of the study shows that the proposed secure routing scheme offers better data forwarding characteristic in contrast to the existing system in the aspect of intrusion detection and secure data transmission.
