Expression of Transcriptional Factor Genes (Oct-4, Nanog, and Sox-2) and Embryonic Stem Cell-Like Characters in Placental Membrane of Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis)

Abstract: The aim of the study was to assess the expression of transcriptional factor genes and embryonic stem cell-like characters in the placental membrane of buffalo (Bubalus bubalis). Along with the placenta, amniotic fluid, maternal peripheral blood, and umbilical cord blood samples were taken for the future study. The isolation and culture of cells from the placental membrane was followed by the determination of RT-PCR-based markers (Oct-4, Nanog, Sox-2, alkaline phosphatase, stem cell factor, and Nestin) of these… Show more

“…H. pylori extracts were cocultured with the AGS and MKN45 GC cell lines to determine whether it influenced CSC properties. Specific markers could be detected to identify CSC properties, such as CD44, 27 SOX‐2, 28 Nanog, 29 and OCT‐4 30 . In vitro formation of three‐dimensional spheroids highlights the capacity of cells for self‐renewal, which is ideal for the identification of CSC properties.…”

“…They are frequently used as markers for undifferentiated cells. Oct-4, Sox 2, and Nanog positively regulate transcription of all pluripotency circuitry proteins in the leukemia inhibitory factor pathway. , These three factors contribute to a complex molecular network that regulates a number of genes controlling pluripotency. c-MYC is a regulator gene that codes for multifunctional and nuclear phosphoprotein that plays a role in cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and cellular transformation .…”
