Expression of the Functional Glucocorticoid Receptor in Mouse and Human Lens Epithelial Cells

Abstract: These results demonstrate expression of the functional glucocorticoid receptor in mouse and human lens epithelial cells. This finding suggests that glucocorticoids may act on the mouse and human lens directly during normal lens development and/or cataractogenesis.
