Expression of herpes simplex virus type 1 DNA polymerase by recombinant vaccinia virus

Abstract: We have studied expression of the catalytic subunit of a phosphonoacetic acid-resistant (PAA(r)) DNA polymerase (Pol) of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) strain ANG by recombinant vaccinia virus (VV) engineered with the dominant Ecogpt selection system.
