Expression and functional analysis of ace1 and ace2 reveal their differential roles in larval growth and insecticide sensitivity in Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith, 1797)

Abstract: Acetylcholinesterase (AChE, EC3.1.1.7) is a key enzyme in neuronal signal transduction that hydrolyzes the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh). The toxicological and physiological functions of AChEs in the destructive pest Spodoptera frugiperda, however, are still exclusive.
