Expressão Do Potencial Produtivo Da Cultura Da Canola De Acordo Com as Cultivares No Ambiente Utilizado

Abstract

The canola, belonging to the genus Brassica and brassicaceae family, originated from selected varieties of rapeseed is a winter crop that has been growing considerably in Brazil, and worldwide because it is an important producer of oil and biodiesel. The crop is inserted in the production system using hybrid seeds, employing crop rotation in different regions of Brazil. Thus, the objective of this study was to bring together information from different field researches, in order to discuss and confront the results obtained with different cultivars and environmental conditions and, thus, serve as a basis for future work. Based on the information collected about the cultivation of different canola cultivars, caution should be exercised regarding the edaphoclimatic characteristics of each region, because, since well managed, it is adapted to the different cultivation conditions, bringing benefits, reducing the appearance of diseases and pests and acting as an alternative income to the producer.
