Water, as it has a fundamental role for living beings, must be obtained from reliable sources of supply, so that its properties do not suffer abrupt changes between treatment and distribution. In this sense, the present work had the objective of verifying by means of physical-chemical analyzes, if the water that is treated and distributed by the local supply company in the municipality of Salvaterra suffers variations in its physical and chemical properties from the treatment to the distribution, as well How to compare the results with Ministry of Health ordinance 2,914. For the physico-chemical analyzes were used the instrumental and volumetric methods. The results of the analyzes were submitted to the Tukey test, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA). The data revealed that the parameters analyzed are in compliance with Ministry of Health ordinance 2,914, in that they are sufficient to explain the variation of the parameters between the ETA and the districts, thus, a monitoring study is necessary, associated to analyzes for potability purposes. Keywords: Water supply; physicochemical analysis; multivariate analysis.
