Abstract: Eine provokative Frage wirft der Titel auf – Explosionen werden sich längerfristig wohl nicht als allgemeine Synthesemethode durchsetzen, doch erbrachte die explosionsartige Zersetzung einiger gespannter Dehydrobenzoannulene beim Erhitzen interessante Ergebnisse; unter anderem entstanden strukturierte, Fulleren‐artige Kohlenstoffpartikel.
