Exploring the Role of Social Media and Individual Behaviors in Flood Evacuation Processes: An Agent‐Based Modeling Approach

Abstract: Flood warnings from various information sources are important for individuals to make evacuation decisions during a flood event. “…Considering the limitation of the existing studies and motivated by the two important issues mentioned above, this study presented an agent-based modeling framework to simulate the flood evacuation in vulnerable communities and this framework incorporated the resident psychological model and transportation network model.
