Exploring the pharmacological action mechanism of Ligusticum Chuanxiong-Piper Longum couplet medicines on the treatment of migraine based on network pharmacology

Abstract: Objective: To study the mechanisms of the Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.–Piper longum L. herbal pair (LPHP) in the treatment of migraine using network pharmacology. Methods: The active constituents of LPHP and their targets were searched for and screened using the Chinese Medicine System Pharmacology Database. Genes related to migraine were searched on GeneCards, Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man and other databases. Cytoscape was used to construct and combine active component–target and disease–target networks.… Show more

“…Clinically our findings are pivotal, since they support that the synaptic roles of ADGRL and its mutants are related to neurodevelopmental issues, 39 and RXRA influences migraine treatment. 41 These findings not only deepen our understanding of the genetic basis of migraine but also provide insight for developing tailored treatment strategies. Diverse SNPs between nonmigraine controls and FH individuals emphasize potential genetic disparities in migraine pathophysiology.…”

“… 40 RXRA , which regulates nuclear receptors for retinoic-acid-mediated gene activation, is associated with migraine treatment using Ligusticum chuanxiong – Piper longum couplet medicines. 41 No previous genetic study has investigated NC01362 , LINC00900 , or LINC02702 .
