Abstract: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Platycodon grandiflorum is a traditional Chinese herbal medi-cine, which can disperse lung, promote pharynx, dispel phlegm and expel pus. Its processing history was first seen in the “Zhou Hou Bei Ji Fang“ of the Jin Dynasty in China.
