Abstract:Sericin, a silk protein from Bombyx mori (silkworms), has many applications, including cosmetics, anti-inflammation, and anti-cancer. Sericin complexes with nanoparticles have shown promise for breast cancer cell lines. Apoptosis, a programmed cell death mechanism, stops cancer cell growth.
