Abstract:Understanding the origins and hotspots of suspended sediments is crucial for safeguarding the biotic communities and for management of water quality in river‐reservoir systems. This study is an attempt to develop a new analytical framework to deconvolve the suspended sediment sources contribution using a novel index (i.e. erosion susceptibility index, ESI).
