Exploring Physics of Neutron Star Matter by Gravitational Waves

Abstract: Determining the equation of state of neutron star matter and hence the structure of neutron star is one of the major goals of nuclear physics. We review the method how the detection of gravitational waves from binary neutron star can be used to extract information of the structure of the neutron star and the equation of state encoded in them.
